Travel plans for 2008
May 2008 will see John, Rosemary and Suzanne head over to the USA for the Weimaraner Club of America National Specialty with Sue Norbury and Debbie Clarkson.  Then we will head to Europe for the World Dog Show in Sweden with our friends Kristina and Per-Arne @ Pasquinel´s Weimaraner.
Trip we are very excited about.

Cusack has been a fantastic show dog never putting a foot wrong and always showing and giving me 110% in the show ring I have been very lucky to have been able to own and show a dog as grand as him.. Winning Multi Specialty Best in Show, Royal BOB and group 3 at Melbourne royal as a Junior Dog, I am even prouder that top breeders from other countries have also seen Cusack’s super breed qualities and wanting to have a bit of him in their lines for that I am very proud and grateful and of course all the top breeders here who have used him and got some lovely progeny doing him proud gaining there GRAND and Aust Ch and Tracking titles to you thank you!!

We are very happy to say that Cusack’s son Aust Ch Aceweis Soul Sensation gained his GRAND show title on the weekend taking a BEST IN GROUP (Group 1) Marcus has been an extremely competitive dog taking dog CC at our last national with our largest entry of Weimaraners at a national. He has had multi BEST IN SHOW all breeds and runner up BIS specialty. 

Well done to Cathy and Linda and all the handlers lucky enough to show this lovely dog!! Well done guys… I know Jill would be proud as punch!!

Australian bred and CAN imported Long hair Weimaraner puppy bitch Bromhund Kalila Greysilk finished her Canadian Championship (pending CKC conf) Aug 25 at the Weimaraner Association of Canada's Regional Specialty. "Gracie” was awarded Specialty WB BOW BP by breeder judge Gale Young (USA), she won this award competing against shorthairs.
She is owned by Lynda Graef of Ontario.

Well done to all involved we are very proud that both her and “Konnie” Bromhund Kontray owned by Shelley Shorrock are being campaigned in Canada and excellent examples of the breed.  

So now we have a few first's under our belt : 1st longhair to compete in a Weim Specialty in Canada, 1st LH to win at a Weim Specialty, 1st LH to finish a Canadian championship,

Gracie had her first set of shows (July 3rd to 8th), as of July 1st, they were supposed to be eligible to show, but the CKC couldn't decide if our breed standard was actually changed yet, to remove the long coat as a major fault. Anyway, Laura and Lynda took Harrison (LH Male) and Gracie, breed standard in hand, and they were allowed to show, although on 2 days, short coated Weims were there, and we were all judged together- not what the Wei club had agreed upon, but at least they got in the ring.

The good news is Gracie took the points every day but one. She now has 7 points to her Canadian championship!!

She needs 10 points and has 2 shows next weekend so we are hoping that Bromhund will have another record as breeders of the first LH Canadian Champion.!!! 

Her sister Konnie also at the show and went very….. Hope to have some updated photo's of her soon too.

The only male from our 1997 litter by AM Ch Nani's Class Clown. Scamp left his impression on every person that visited our dogs @ Bromhund with comments like "I want one just like him" he was the sweetest most adorable dog with the best temperament. He has produced many champions with Best in Show winning progeny as well as award working progeny.  
His highest titled progeny was Dual Ch Int Ch Greydove Desert Storm (Sth Africa).

He will be sadly missed at Bromhund.


"Scamp lives in the hearts of those he touched.  He has left us wonderful memories and offspring.  His legacy will live on."
